Within the scope of the project “Technical Assistance for Conducting Chemical Safety Assessments under the REACH Regulation”, the Environmental Risk Assessment Training was held online using the ZOOM Webinar between 1-4 February 2021.In this four-day training, it was aimed to cover the issues related to environmental risk assessment and the training content was carried out to cover the topics of protection objectives, environmental hazard and risk classification, and environmental risk assessment process.Representatives from various industrial institutions and organizations such as Kiplas, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, AFAD, General Directorate of Environmental Management attended this training.

Within the scope of “Technical Assistance to Conduct Chemical Safety Assessments under the scope of REACH Regulation” project, Classification and Labelling of Substances and Mixture training was held between 24-26 Februrary 2020 in Antalya. The three-day long training sessions were structured to cover the legislative background, substance and mixture classification as well as labelling requirements as per CLP regulation. The training aims to raise awarenesss of the skill-mix inventory of the stakeholders for supporting the capacity building activities both at the individual and institutional levels of the decision makers and major groups related to the classification of substances and mixtures for implementation of the KKDIK by law.

The closing event of the "TA for Achieving the Harmony with EU regarding the Implementation of the NIS Directive" Project was held at ICTA premises on February 5th, 2020. The closing event, which commenced with the opening speeches of senior officials from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technologies Authority , Delegation of European Union to Turkey, Central Finance and Contracts Unit and Information Technology Law Institute of Bilgi University, entertained many guests alongside the participation of the Team Leader Birol Yürüten, Project Director Kemal Kocamustafaoğulları, Project Non-Key Experts and the Project Team.

The opening seminar of EU funded "Technical Assistance Project for Conducting Chemical Safety Assessment under REACH Regulation" was held in Ankara on 8 January 2020 with attendees from public institutions and industry representatives. The awareness of the participants was raised regarding the; objectives of the project, key messages were shared as well as useful information related to chemical sector in Turkey and in EU.

As a candidate member of the EU, Turkey has been implementing environmental improvements and arrangements in order to ensure alignment with EU in environmental acquis. Within the scope of the 2nd period of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Program, Our project titled "TA to Conduct Chemical Safety Assessments under the scope of REACH Regulation" has started with the kick-off meeting held on 1st November 2019.

Within the scope of the activity of the “Software Development Support for Establishment of e-PIC System”, Turkish e-PIC IT System (e-OBK Software) has been designed and developed in associated with regulation-related business processes that will facilitate the software infrastructure during the implementation of “Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade”.

In the course of improvement of the Beneficiary’s relevant staff capacity concerning implementation of NIS Directive and member state practices, which is one of the expected results of the project, a workshop on methodological approaches and country benchmarks has been organized on 17-21 June 2019. In this direction, lectures on below topics have been given by IT Law and NIS Directive experts.

In the course of improvement of the Beneficiary’s relevant staff capacity concerning implementation of NIS Directive and member state practices, which is one of the expected results of the project, a study visit has been organized on 10-14 June 2019. In this direction, a 3-day programme on IT Law and NIS Directive has been planned with contributions of consortium partner eGA.

In the course of improvement of ICTA's relevant staff capacity concerning implementation of NIS Directive and member state practices, which is one of the expected results of the project, a workshop on cybersecurity, NIS Directive and other related topics has been organized on 15-19 April 2019. In this direction, lectures on below topics have been given by IT Law and NIS Directive experts.
