EU Funded Environmental IS Technical Assistance Project 20 January 2003

Our consortium has been awarded for the 'Development and Maintenance of EIS - Environmental Information System, Turkey' EU funded Technical Assistance Project(EuropeAid/123041/D/SER/TR) in consortium with TRASYS S.A. (BE) and EPSILON International (GR).
This project is funded by EC within “The National Pre-Accession Financial Assistance Programme for Turkey 2005” and the beneficiary is the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
The main aim of the project is to enable Turkey to achieve a high level of environmental protection and compliance with the EU access to environmental information and reporting directives.
The specific activities to be performed under the scope of this contract are as follows:
Update environmental indicators under Environmental Information System in line with new national and international requirements.
Prepare maintenance plan for Environmental Information System software and implement it.
Prepare training programmes and materials for Environmental Information System software users, data providers, and experts who are responsible for data entry in order to disseminate the usage of Environmental Information System both at the Ministry level and local level.
Support activities required for raising public environmental awareness.
